Sabinene, Natural

Sabinene, Natural

Extracted from the myrtle genus and camphor tree. (Melaleuca spp. & cinnamomum camphora)

Bright, sparkling, peppery, and woody is the best way to describe this aromatic monoterpene. A very important part of the spicy aspect of black pepper oil, and the brightness of citruses. Also an important part of various pine oils, and blends well with frankincense oils high in alpha pinene. Despite being peppery, we find that, alone, it seems to have a cooling effect, reminiscent of rushing air and mist from a waterfall. A great tool to customize your masculine fragrance top notes with a material hard to find in retail quantites.

Blend with woods, pines, balsams, citruses, petitgrain, orange flower/neroli, linalool, limonene, alpha terpineol, spices..... the list goes on!

Interesting fact-

Has the same chemical formula as limonene, but a different structure, making it a constitutional isomer of limonene! Constitutional isomers are different than the more referenced stereoisomers (d-/l-), and have aromatic profiles that are completely different from one another. This sabinene/limonene example embodies that principle.
